Warehouse resumes are read fast and screened on a short checklist: equipment certifications, throughput speed, and safety record. Put certifications (forklift, RF scanner, OSHA) right under your name.
Example experience section
Warehouse Associate — Regional Distribution Center (2021–Present)
- Picked and packed 150–180 orders per shift with a 99.5% accuracy rate
- Certified forklift operator; operated reach trucks and pallet jacks across a 200,000 sq ft facility
- Maintained a zero-incident safety record across 3 years on the floor
Skills recruiters check for
Forklift/reach-truck certification, RF scanner and WMS software experience, physical capacity (lifting weight, shift length), inventory accuracy rate, and OSHA safety training.
Common mistakes on a warehouse resume
Writing "hard worker" or "reliable" with no throughput or accuracy number behind it. Leaving off equipment certifications, which many distribution centers require before they'll even schedule an interview. Omitting shift type and facility size (cold storage, size in square feet, single vs. multi-shift) when the posting specifies it.
